It’s that time of the month again. Stomache cramps, food cravings and moodswings. Some of you may suffer from one of these symptoms and some of you may be unfortunate enough to encounter two or more.

For me, the best way to elevate these symptoms is to exercise. It could be anything from a walk, a swim, an exercise class or a full blown session in the gym. Whatever works for you.

With a bloated belly resembling a pregnant woman I took myself to the gym. It would have been easy to stay at home and eat my way around the kitchen but with my sensible head on I knew this wasn’t the right thing to do.

So next time you are suffering at ‘that time of the month’ consider reaching for your trainers before you reach for the biscuit barrel.
